Horrid Henry Dónall Dána: Teach na dTaibhsí ›
Marion Ní Shúilleabháin is from Bóthar na Scrathóg in Carraroe in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht. She has been working with RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta since 1996 and she has worked in every area of the news department during that time. She was among the producers of the series Siamsa Scoil on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltacht between the years 2003 and 2006 in which the radio station visited schools in the Gaeltacht and Gaelscoileanna to speak with primary school children and to record performances of music and drama by the children.
Ní Shúilleabháin hold third-level qualifications in Irish and Applied Mathematics, in Radio and Television Skills (a course in which she earned the first place in her class), in Translation Studies and in Language Planning. She also attended a third-level course in Editing and Proofreading in 2016 which was geared towards people who work with the Irish language in the print or broadcast media.
She has a keen interest in photography and the social media. She translated two of the Horrid Henry : Dónall Dána series to Irish and says that she enjoyed the process immensely and hopes that the readers find the same enjoyment in reading the books.
