Is ar an fhoghlaimeoir atá an DVD seo dírithe.  Tosaíonn sé le malartú céimeanna idir Ronan agus Maldon, iad ag damhsa céimeanna éagsúla, duine ar dhuine, an fhad is a sheinneann Johnny O'Halloran ríleanna ar an mhileoidean.  Ansin tógtar na céimeanna ceann ar cheann, bristear síos iad, cleachtaítear go mall leis an gceol iad agus ansin damhsaítear ar an ngnáthluas iad.  Críochnaíonn an DVD le seisiún beo ceoil agus damhsa i dteach tábhairne an Crane i nGaillimh.

A sean-nós dance tutorial on DVD.  On this DVD sean-nós steps are presented for you to learn.  Firstly, in the form of a dance trade with Maldon and Ronan alternating steps as Johnny O' Halloran plays reels on the melodeon.  Each step is then danced a number of times individually, followed by a breakdown of the step, a slow practice to music and finally the steps are again danced at normal speed.  The DVD finishes with a live session of music and dancing in the Crane Bar, Galway.

This is a multi-region DVD.

If you’ve ever been struck by the desire to get up and dance a few steps at the pub, this DVD is for you. Dance Sean-Nós caters to the widest possible audience -- from absolute beginners to advanced sean-nós dancers. The DVD is a blessing for dancers living outside of Galway -- or outside of Ireland altogether.

Beginning dancers will appreciate the inclusion of basic Connemara and Clare steps, while more advanced dancers can expand their repertoire of steps by incorporating bits and pieces taught on the DVD into their own dancing. There’s plenty of inspiration here. And plenty to keep you busy.

The DVD would also be useful to those interested in the evolution of Irish step dancing. Despite the revival of sean-nós dancing we’ve seen in recent years, sean-nós is still an obscure form of dance in most of the world. I love that the DVD includes a scene of sean-nós dancing in its natural habitat –- a session at the Crane Bar in Galway.

I bought my own copy of Dance Sean-Nós from Rónán and Maldon almost a year ago, and I’ve learned the majority of the steps on the DVD. Thanks to everyone involved in making Dance Sean-Nós. I hope this is the first in a series!

Tá an DVD seo a úsáid agam ó tháinig sé amach anuraidh agus caithfidh mé a rá go bhfuil sé ar-fheabhas, Mholfainn do gach éinne a bhfuil ag foghlaim an damhsa ar an sean-nós nó fiú éinne a bhfuil speis aige nó aici sa damhsa sean-nós. Tá an dvd an-úsáideach do dhaoine a bhfuil ag foghlaim na buncéimeanna, ach ina theannta san diríonn sé chomh maith ar daoine a bhfuil nios mó cleachtadh déanta acu ag damhsa. Tá Johnny O' Halloran thar cinn ar an mileoidean. Téigh amach agus ceannaigh an dvd, ní bheidh tú mí-shásta!!!
