Since the release of his debut album in 1991, An tOileán Aerach, the name and music of Johnny Connolly has travelled far and wide; there is no doubt but that Johnny is King of the Melodeon – not only in Connemara, but throughout Ireland and indeed amongst traditional Irish musicians worldwide.
