Laureate na nÓg (2020-2022), Áine Ní Ghlinn is a poet, children’s writer, part-time lecturer and workshop facilitator.
She has 31 books published – 5 collections of poetry for adults, 2 collections of poetry for children, a collection of mythological stories for adult learners as well as plays, stories and novels for children and young adult readers.
She was awarded a Patrick Kavanagh Fellowship in 2019.
In recent years she won the Foras na Gaeilge Poetry Award, Listowel Writers Week, 2019 & 2020, Duais de hÍde, Strokestown Poetry Festival, 2019 & 2020, Gradam Reics Carló Book of the Year award three times for the novels Daideo, Hata Zú Mhamó and Boscadán.
She has also won various Oireachtas awards for drama and novels for children and young adult readers.
